Question: Bronchitis is inflammation of the tubes going down to the lungs and emphesema is damage to the actual lung air spaces. Both cause their own breathing problems. Emphysema cannot be healed but the symptoms can be lessened with inhalers and medication. Chronic means long term so with regards to chronic bronchitis, generally that also cannot be healed and is also treated with similar medications. Both illnesses come under copd- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

For anything ending with "itis" you might take a look at the anti-inflammatory diet. Google it.

They are both COPD neither can be cured. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Bronchitis is not as disableing as Emphysema but never the less if it's chronic pray for a miracle.

There is no cure for Chronic Bronchitis or Emphysema but giving up smoking can stop it from getting any worse.

i have got chronic bronchitis,emphysema,c.o.p.d. i use oxygen 24/7.it all boilers down to your lungs.IT IS NOT CAUSE BECAUSE I SMOKE, BECAUSE I DON'T AND NEVER HAVE. so please get your facts write before upsetting any one else who as got it, and don't smoke.if you lived when a baby in a coal mining town going back to the 1950, and before.most children/adults got it,kids were born with it,as i was. i get enough stick from people who put there noses in, and don't know the full facts.
