What kind of condition would have these symptoms?!
Question: I go through cycles where I gain tons of water weight, all my joints swell, and I get so tired I can barely move. I will be that way and in incredible pain for about a week, then I get back to normal. The dr. gave me an anti inflammatory but it hasn't helped with the pain. It's really messing up my life. Any ideas what could cause these kind of symptoms? My dr doesn't seem to know.

I am shocked that your Dr. wouldn't have thought to immediately test you for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Get tested, it sounds exactly like that is what you are suffering from. I would suggest changing Dr's, try getting an appointment with Rheumatologist. They are specialists in this area. Here's info on who they are & what they treat:

Edit: I just wanted to let you know that my cousin has had this for 15 years. She is doing very well. The key to feeling better is getting the right treatment! I just didn't want you to worry, it is very treatable.

If your doctor isn't able to help you, seek a second opinion, if possible at a large medical center, such as your state University Health System..Its not likely that you are the one person in the entire world to ever develop these symptoms, & a large center is better prepared to solve these diagnostic puzzles.. Do not just shrug it off--it could be serious..
