Does he really have a tumour or is it a sick lie?!

Question: My housemate told me he'd found a lump in his stomach area. He went for blood tests and got given the all clear. A couple of weeks later he came to me and told me he had feelings for me. I told him sorry, but I only ever saw him as a friend. A week later,he told me out of the blue that he'd lied about his blood test and that he in fact has a tumour the size of a golf ball in a cavity in his stomach but he has to go and have a camera put up his bum so they can tell if it's malignant or benign.I think I'm being lied to, for a start, they wouldn't make him wait almost a month after his diagnosis to find out if he has cancer or not.And can they tell from a blood test if you have a tumour or not? He told me if it turns out to be benign, they're going to just leave it in there and not bother to remove it, which would be a convenient ending to the lie. I need to know if my friend is doing this for attention or symapthy or to try and force me into feeling something for him.Any help appreciated

First of all if he had a mass in his stomach he would not be having anything inserted into his rectum in order for them to have a look. It would be the other end that they would access. Secondly he would not be having blood work in order to be told whether or not he had cancer. It is more than likely you are being lied to. Always trust your gut, which I think is steering you in the right direction.

There are certain blood tests that can lead a doctor to suspect cancer but the scenario you describe sounds fishy. I think you should trust your instincts. He's probably not being truthful.

Talk to he doctor. If you can't because of personal info, Talk to himself. Look him strait in the eye and say this:
"Look me in the eye and tell me the truth right now. Do you really have a tumor."

If he has the guts to lie in front of your face, then why is he faking this? To make sure that you would go out with him and then he'd say that he got it removed. I say it could be a way to make you like him just out of the dearness of your heart. BUT DON'T ASSUME THIS. He may have a tumor, just support him either way. You'll get your answer sooner or later.

LIAR LIAR LIAR. And not a very good one at that. He 's already proved he's a liar. He's either lying now or lied before and I'll guarantee he's lying about his condition.

Offer to be a good friend, and accompany him to his next doctor's visit...then let us know what happens.
