Herpes on gums?!
Question: I think I may have herpes on my gums. I noticed my gums to be sore on Sunday and I started taking Valtrex on Monday afternoon. Could I have taken in early enough that they wont progress into anything but the sore patches or do they have to break open?

The time span of you taking the valtrex medication would not stop the out break of the sore. It needs time to work in your blood.
Try to gargle a little purified salt water this will aid your mouth sore to heal faster.
Take care of your self and try to improve your immune system this will help your body to fight the disease.
Improve your immune system by eating fresh fruits and vegetable.
go to the dentist to make sure your diagnosis is correct.
Or it could be Gingivitis! Get checked out by MD/Dentist ASAP! To late for Valtrex, I think! :O(
