HODGKIN'S LYMPHOMA question...?!
Question: I saw that medical miracles show on Discover Health.
A patient has symptoms that seemed like ASTHMA, but turned out to be HODGKIN'S LYMPHOMA.
Can someone please tell me how similar these ailments are symptom wise. I know the results are different. But my symptoms match the ones on the show 100% and I swear I can't have asthma with this much difficulty. People with asthma tell me I don't remind them of Asthma. But that is what the pulmonologist said it was.
I'm going to have bloodwork Thursday.

I have a friend who has non-hogkins lymphoma. Her symptoms were same as pneumonia. In fact she was being treated for pneumonia. When it did not clear up she went back to Dr and he took an xray and found the mass. She was lucky, because she went back quickly and had xray they found the mass before it hit a full level 1 and after a few months of chemo her tumor shrank to almost nil and radiation was not necessary..
I have asthma and have had many bouts of bronchitis and pneumonia - they are totally different in how they feel and sound.
Don't compare your symptoms to what you see on TV - everyone is different. But if you are concerned, call your doctor and ask him the same question.
