High Temperature and Chills?!
Question: What kind of illnesses cause these type of symptoms? My mums partner has a very high temperature and is freezing cold, he's had an upset stomach for a week now and hasnt had any energy at all. The doctor is coming to her house later too see him, he's 60 years old. Im just looking to see if anyone has had a similar illness to put mums mind at rest for now. Thanks for any answers in advance.

I'm no doctor but that just sounds like a bad FLU virus.
Chills during high temps is the most common sign of a fever.
Food poisoning but i think theres any number of other things it could be.
When one had a fever (high temperature, pyrexia), one will feel cold, the body will shiver, and it is not unusual to pile on the blankets. It sounds like he has a bad infection from a stomach bug. Some bugs such as e-coli can be very dangerous and their toxins can overcome the body. Make sure the doctor sees him, quick.

high temp of 102.9 or greater doesn't usually have chills. see a doctor if the temp is like this. otherwise, treat the symptoms without bundling the patient. wash your hands well. push fluids.
