What causes dehydration all the time despite drinking tons of water?!

Question: I wake up every morning with the darkest urine. My heartbeat gets really faint, and it sometimes feels like my body is about to go into convulsions. I can't think straight, and whenever i drink water it just passes through my body and doesn't get into my system anymore. I went for a blood sugar test, fasted for 10hrs, and the doctor said the test result was normal.

Go to a different doctor. Something is going on and you need to find out what it is.

try drinking gatorade that helps me whaen i get dehydrated

i would say diabetes, but if your own doctor cant give you an answer then im not sure what to say?! how longs it been going on?

sounds like you diabetic.. but the test was done.. change your diet.. i have the same problem i drink water and it goes through me.. try not to drink as much.. and chew gum to keep your mouth moist.. and ask your doctor for a heart stress test

lack of drinking sufficient WATER during the day. We are supposed to drink in the vicinity of 64 ounces which is half gallon of water every day.

Did the doctor just say your glucose was Normal or did he give you a couple of numbers? Go back to the doctors office and get a copy of the blood work results. Google any line you don't understand. You paid for this test, you reserve the right to a copy of it. Don't let the staff give you any grief about it isn't necessary or whatever other excuse they might have.

What is your caffine intake. Caffine is a powerful diuretic (which means it makes you urinate a lot) and can cause you to lose water. Remember caffine is in Coffee, tea and soda pops as well as some bottled waters. Make changes to your diet. Try drinking water during the day but, beware bottled waters which sometimes has caffine added to them.

If this doesn't help then I would maybe get a second opinion from another Doctor as to why you are waking up like this. If they still say no Diabetes then I would ask what else it could be.

Do you wake up at night? Maybe keep a glass of water by your bed and take a drink when you wake up as well.

Drugs, poor diet, chronic disease, lots of things.

You may have a kidney infection. You should ask your doctor to have your urine tested for infections and any other possible causes. Make sure you tell him all of your symptoms.
