Diabetes diagnosis?!

Question: Is it difficult to diagnose? If you had blood taken and glucose checked, do you for sure not have it?

There are several diagnostic criteria for diabetes. Usually a fasting blood sugar can determine whether or not you are diabetic. In some cases a glucose tolerance test is done. Talk to your doctor about your test results and what they mean.

yes if you did these blood tests no for sure that you are not deabetic

If your doctor has done the tests and told you you have diabetes, you have diabetes. I was diagnosed 9 years ago with diabetes. Type 2. I am taking medication for it and 6 mos ago started insulin. I have it under control now and doing great. Im 72. Make sure you follow your doctors orders to prevent complications. Read books about it and look it up on the internet. You can live a normal life with it but MUST look after it properly. You know what im talking about. ???Join diabetes groups and support one another. You are not alone...25% have it whether they know it or not!!!

i don't think u ever totally get rid of it. my grandpa has it and he has to have all kinds of shots put in him after every meal! he also has 2 watch wat he eats but he never does, and that can make it worse. it normal but eat right and don't eat so many greasy foods and sweets. i know it's hard but try! and u don't have 2 quit having sweets all together!

The HbA1c does not lie my friend. It looks at the levels in your blood for the last three month and averages. I don't know how it works but I know you can't be good for a week before you go to the doctor and expect to get away with it.
