Help injecting copaxone.....?!
Question: ok so this is supposed to be day 2 with the copaxone but i cant bring myself to push the button to give myself the shot...im not afraid of needles or shots when a nurse gives it to me but for some reason i have major anxiety giving it to myself.....i wouldnt even let my husband or mom do it.......what do i do?

Go away from it for a few and relax. You have to overcome this fear! You need the Copaxone and you can learn to give yourself the injections. Think of all the diabetics who have to give themselves insulin to live several times a day. When the anxiety passes, sit down and just take some alcohol (not the drinking kind) and clean off the site and 1..2..3..Zap the needle in and give yourself the shot! I know it sounds EZ from a RN who has been giving shots for 40 yrs but it IS that EZ. GOOD LUCK!!!
You need your injection!
The more you learn to give it to yourself that easier it will become.
If you really can't and are going to miss the dose you must go to hospital or Dr's to get it given to you. They can also give you support and coping mechanisms to overcome your fears.
It's perfectly normal to feel like this, with the right support you can overcome your fear
take the shot.. or have someone who knows how to give an injection. I always have to shoot my girlfriend..Its not as bad as you make it. youre just scared of needles..
