LOCAL honey will get rid of your air born allergies by working with your body NATURALLY to develop immunities to all the irritants in the air-like mold, smog, pollen, pet dander, dust, etc. Stay away from decongestants and antihistamines-they are drying out your body-sinuses will get infected and possible kidney problems could arise over time. Use a humidifier in your bed room at night to help with the dehydration caused by your allergy meds (Get off them fast!!). Like all herbal remedies, it will take a while for the local honey to become effective but you will also notice that you get fewer clod and flu symptoms as the local honey takes effect.

I use Claritin D. It is non-drowsy and works quite well. You can purchase it without a prescription at the pharmacy.

I agree with the comment made above. However becareful with Claritan D. Loratidine is the anti-histamine and is generally non-drowy. That will help you with your runny nose. If your nose is STUFFED, then go with the Claritan D which also has a decongestant which is pseudoephedrine. Becareful with pseudoephedrine because it is a stimulant and keeps you awake ( I guess that is what you want). However, long term use of pseudoephedrine can make your stuffy nose even worst because pseudoephedrine works by constricting you blood vessels in your sinuses but your body adapts and dilates them and if given time can overdilate thus causing your sinuses to be full blown stuffed. If you do not have stuffy nose, just get the Claritan 24.

However, if you have dry nasal passages, use a nasal gel or saline spray (not decongestant sprays for reason mentioned above ie. Otrivan). That is the best way to moisten your nasal passages.
