AIDS/STD after divorced and multiple marriage ??!

Question: I always wonder how people don't get AIDS/STD from having sex with the first couple and divorce and again have sex with another couple and so on (if they marry and divorce again). Isn't it the one of the causes of AIDS, they have sex with the first couple and have children and if they divorce and marry with someone else and again have sex with the new married person.

My question is: Why do people not get AIDS/STDs from having sex with their divorced husband/wife and another sex with their new husband/wife ?

If some one divorces, I always tell them to have a full STD/HIV screening before they start dating again. Then you need to use condoms with a new partner until you both test for STDs and HIV again.

It's difficult for people to think they are at risk for HIV/STDs if they are older and remarrying, but everyone who has sex is at risk.

i agree that the more people you sleep with your chances of getting aids or stds increases....however if the person dosent have anything they cant pass it on...... some stds take a while to show up though and aids can take up to 7 yrs or so ive heard tp show up .......

You can't get HIV or STDs from people who don't have it.

Just getting a divorce and remarrying does not mean that you are at higher risk for HIV or STDs. If both partners are faithful and have been checked out prior to sex, then they are not at risk.

You should do a little research on the CDC's website about the risk factors from HIV and the different STDs. www.cdc.gov
