I have acne and serborrheic dermatitus...its hopeless?!

Question: I used to be a champion martial artist, and everything was going great....then I contract SD and my already present acne gets worse. Im embarrassed to say this...but I often cry about it because I feel so helpless. I cant go to a doctor either because im poor. Im on a library compter right now. I dont know what to do

I just replied to your message but just to reiterate...pantothenic acid!!

i have the same problem! go to acne.org! its not as harsh as other products.

i recommend using basis sensitive skin bar

the acne.org treatment or if you cant get that on line then get the neutrogena on the spot treatment with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide

and get cetaphil moisturizing lotion or cream or both!

this regimen really works

i do still have a little bit of dry skin though but my dermotologist said that i can moisturize any time...like 20 times a day even and it wont cause acne, you just have to be REALLY GENTLE when you apply everything because its important not to aggravate your acne.

this really helped me and my skin is almost clear!!!

also drinking 8 glasses of water a day helps dry skin.
i feel like your my long lost twin because we both have the same problem! i used to cry over my acne/SD too! try this!!!

p.s. make sure you watch the videos to make sure u r going the regimen correctly and using the right amount of treatment

I have mild acne (a few pimples now and then, usually around my period) and also was diagnosed with SD on my face. I was prescribed Elidel, which helped, but I don't like using alot of stuff on my face because I am already oily. I recently started using the Wexler line at Bath and Body works, and I haven't had to use my Elidel at all. It has 2% salicylic acid, which I was scared to use because I thought it would make the flakiness of my SD worse. But it didn't. It's actually proven to be very effective. The salicylic acid exfoliates my skin and keeps BOTH the pimples and flaky skin at bay. I'd recommend the Overnight acne lotion...it's like 20 bucks (that one is 1.25%). Or, if money is too tight you could even try Clean and Clear moisturizing lotion with 2%. I've used that before too and it's good. Or check around and see what you can find...just look for 1% to 2% salicylic acid in a formula with light moisturizers. Hope it works for you too:)
