You are taking the correct steps to find out what is going on & how to deal with it..Try to keep good thoughts,. & gather your support system. Whether you have a serious problem or not, you need the support...Good luck!!

No one can answer this question unless they have done either an MRI or CT or biopsy of the lump.

Lymph nodes can be found in the underarm area as well as other things. Your doctor will tell you once he/she gets test results.

it's probably a swollen lymph node. you have those in your groin and neck as well, check for swelling there too? it could just be a slight infection of the lymph node.

or if youre having unprotected sex, it's also an early sign of HIV. don't mean to scare you or anything :/

Do you have any cats? I used to get lumps under my armpits when I got scratched by my cat. What happens is they get dirt under their nails and then the dirt gets in your skin and ends up in your lymph system, making your armpits lumpy. You may also have an ingrown hair if the lump is really small. Go to the doctor and don't worry too much.

It is really hard or squishy? Have you been sick with a cold/flu or really stressed out lately? It sounds to me like a swollen lymph node. It happens to everyone, some people just don't notice. It will most likely go down on its own. In rare cases it might have to removed or drained by a doc. Good luck tomorrow!

It could be anything>>>a swollen lymph node, a sweat gland that is swollen, a cyst....you have done the right thing in making an appt to see a doctor and not Yahoo Answers. Stop worrying.....it's most likely nothing bad.

It's best to go to the doctor so that is good that you are but I don't think it is anything serious. It's probably just a swollen lymph node. If you have an injury, or an infection else where in your body or sometimes for no apparent reason you can get a swollen lymph node. Recently I bit the inside of my cheek HARD and got a little chunk of skin. It hurt really bad and a couple of days later I noticed my lymph node just under my jaw area on the same side as my injured cheek was swollen....so I knew it was because if that injury. I had the same problem when I was 12 and the doc gave me antibiotic just to be on the safe side and I was fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
