Sort of. If there is contact with the cold sore on your (or anyones) face to your genitals, you can transfer herpes 1 down there. It will not turn in to genital herpes (herpes 2) though.
After treating that outbreak the chances are very slim that you will ever get another outbreak again, unless there is contact made again.. unlike genital herpes which you will get outbreaks throughout your life.
So, be careful to not perform oral sex with anyone if either of you have cold sores and always wash your hands after you touch your cold sore.

YES its possible. if u touch a cold sore then wipe. they are also transmitable through oral sex (i got them that way), u would end up with cold sores on your genitals.

well if you actually touched your lip first and then touched yourself but i really dont see a person rubbing their herpe lips and then touching themselves..dont worry too much just make sure you wash your hands before you touch yourself

No, you cannot.. You can give yourself a oral herpes lesion on your genitals, but they are two different strands, type I and type II.
