Can herpes cause you to miss your period?!
Question: First, I am not some whore who has slept around with every guy imaginable. I got herpes from my fiance who has cold sores, type 1 HSV, which is the most common of cases. It isn't the nasty type some get from being promiscuous which is type 2. To put things nicely, we had oral sex and I got them "downstairs."
My period is late and I took a pregnancy test and it said negative. So, can the type 1 HSV cause my missed/late period?

Usually not, but pg test can have false negatives.
