Immediately go out and get some ZYCAM. I like the kind that you spray directly on the throat. I started using that stuff about 3 years ago. Every time I feel a sore throat coming on I start taking it as directed and only once has a sore throat turned into a cold or anything.

My wife swears by gurgling with warm water with salt.

Gargle with warm salt water, yes regular table salt, pour hot water into a glass, put in about 2 tablespoons of salt and garle. Really works, without drugs.
