any of the above as long as you can get the 31 or higher guage point on it!!! This makes the smallest hole available and so hurts least.

For finger testing, I like the BD (its a white lancing device). It seems to cause less pain and bruising.

I use the Freestyle Freedom meter by Abbot and have no problems with their lancing device. The newer one is more compact and works just as well as the older one.

I also use a One Touch Ultra 2 meter and the lancing device that comes with it does the job too. That's the One Touch Ultra Soft.

For arm testing it really doesn't seem to make much difference which lancing device I use, but the LANCETS do make a huge difference.

I prefer the lancets by Abbot labs because they seem to be a bit wider and I get a better sample.

The white one lancets by One Touch are almost as good as Abbots.

For finger testing I like the ultra fine Lancets by BD. They're a 33 gauge and just don't cause the pain and bruising all others seem to. They're blue and round.

Personally, I'm waiting for a non-invasive testing device that's accurate, and inexpense. There seems to be some promise of success with breath analysis.

I prefer the Softclix Plus.
