Vitamin E oil, from the bottle or squeezed out of the gelcap- works wonders for dry cracked noses. And boxes of kleenex with aloe or lotion in them are worth the expense when you are blowing all the time. For immediate relief, vaseline or olive oil will help soothe, lotion will burn the skin- and all of them can set you up for zits. If vaseline is what you have, use a thin coat. Then go get the vitamin e and tissues with lotion/aloe. That will help matters improve greatly.

I would probably go with the vaseline, the more simple the better I think. lotion can have lots of other ingredients in it which could be irritating especially if the area is a little bit raw and exposed.

vaseline, because it is thicker

I just had the flu really bad recently, and my nose was raw and hurt really bad too, i put Vaseline all over it every time i got the chance and before bed and it will help alot!! Good Luck! feel better!!

probably the lotion, get some with vitamin E to heal the skin faster. the vaseline would probably just lubricate it, but not heal it as fast as the lotion with vita E

Vaseline because it blocks the moister form getting out and stop it form chapping

Wear the vaseline all the time until you feel better. That way if you have to blow your nose, the vaseline will protect it while it's help you heal. Drink lots of fluids too, to keep your body well moisturized, inside and out. :)

vaseline is lotion but do not use sented lotion it hurts it more and makes your nose red

Vaseline is good and less expensive. use it every night and after washing your face. It should do better come spring.

Vaseline mixed with a bit of water to thin it out.

I would think, either really. So long as its moisturizing and applied say...every hour, won't do it any harm. Meanwhile,
purchase a box of Aloe vera Tissues any time you have a cold, flu, whatever.
they truely are so soft on the nose and skin, and I'm sure you'll find you won't have the problems with your nose, as you do now.

skip the vaseline and use neosporin. apply with a qtip, drink lotsa water, and use a humidifier.

Vaseline is the best. Always be careful not to put Vaseline too close to the eyes. Many don't know this but for people who has allergies can have a reaction to Vaseline. I know I've been there. It cost me a visit to the optometrist to find that one out.
