What does it mean when your GOOD cholesterol is bad? LOL?!

Question: Usually it's the bad cholesterol that rises, but when it's your good cholesterol that is "bad" exactly what does that mean?

Some of these doctors either can't explain things or don't want to.

I like to know in medical terms what is happening.

And also, even if a product has ZERO cholesterol but has fat, does that make your cholesterol rise regardless?

It probably means that someone believes that your levels of HDL are too low.

most of these doctors simply cant explain things, as they only regurgutate what the pharmaceutical industry tells them

If you want to know about cholestrol, I've spelt it all out here

Its been naughty naughty! Whipahhhh!!!

they want your good cholesterol to be as high as possible, and it just means that your is not high enough that's all

I think when your good cholesterol is bad, it means your good cholesterol is lower than it should be. I'm not a doctor but this is just what i've seen on cholesterol medicine commercials. I'm not sure about your 2nd question...sorry

you need the good chol to keep the bad good lol
try fish oil you can freeze the tablets
eat less fat foods more oatlmealm, cereal, and fruits and veggies

It means that your HDL cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein) is low.

You want the HDL cholesterol to be up, and the LDL( the bad cholesterol) to be down.

And yes, even if food has no cholesterol, your body can still produce it from food.

It means you don't have enough.

Your HDL or good cholesterol can be low. Thats not as bad as your LDL or bad cholesterol being high, but still low HDL is not good. Your doctor can advise you on ways to increase your HDL count.

High fat processed food products even those with low or zero cholesterol should be avoided. Fat is fat and will make YOU fat even if it is made completely of unsaturated (non-cholesterol bearing) fats.
