Is it true that chocolate is gonna be extincted soon?!

Question: I just heard it and wonder if it was true.

Answers: I just heard it and wonder if it was true.

There is a root disease killing many cocoa bushed that produce the cocoa beans needed to make chocolate, but this is mostly an economic concern - cocoa bushes are not at risk of extinction. There is a risk of having shortages of cocoa beans because the price of cocoa beans has become too low for farmers to make money, so many farms are being abandoned.

hahaha i hope not

If it is, I will die.

News to me I going to be in deep trouble if this happens

Found this article about this subject , Check it out

OH IT CANT BE I REALLY CANT BE I MEAN IM IN CHOCOHOLIC ANONYMOUS.

Not unless the entire rainforest is cut down. I'd say you got at least another 10 years.

WELL THE DID SAY THE END OF THE EARTH IS NEAR LIFE WITHOUT CHOC WHATS THE USE NO REALLY I THINK I DID HEAR SOMETHING LIKE THIS SOMETHING LIKE NOT ENOUGH BEES TO POLLINATE THE PLANTS THIS IS FOR LOTS OF CROPS

I have heard so but i doubt it since we have plenty of resources and our Economy makes a lot of money cause people LOVE chocolate

what!!that cant be true. i would be sooo sad if it was, i love chocolatee,

it can even mend a broken heart<3 pfffff, ahah.

but yea i cant live without it!

nope.. itz a big lie... chocolate comes from plants... now if they stop growing the plants, then it might become extinct but the last time i checked every1 loved chocolate and i don't feel the ppl growing them would want all that money to stop coming 2 them..

I very seriously doubt it. There's a booming economic trade based on chocolate, and considering they have to keep breeding the plants that make it and producing seeds to make new plants, a lack of seeds and new plants (extinction) would have shown itself long before now through a serious decline (if not outright ban of) in the sale of chocolate, not to mention serious price hikes.

I assume you mean they won't be able to grow cocoa? I'm sure there'll always be ways to grow it, even if it means synthetically recreating the environment in which it grows naturally. And if that did somehow fail, then there would be ways to recreate something to work in the same way. I'm sure chocolate will be fine.

haha don't believe everything you hear. chocolate has such a huge importance in america and elsewhere so that it's growth is regulated. 1 chocolate bean used and another is grown in it's place. don't sweat it.

O HELL NO!

If chocolate goes extinct, most of the United States Population will die out.
But I don't think that it will go extinct.

uh oh if that's true....................................... JAMIE YO UBETTER TRESURE ALL YOUR CHOCOLATE RIGHT NOW!!! that's my sugar crazi freind >.< she'll die without chocolate or sugar

; no bees will

IT BETTER NOT BE!!!!!! i survive on that stuff! :) jk
