Try using a nettie pot. It will rinse out your sinuses. Google it, it's a little pot you use to rinse your sinuses with a special saltwater solution. It will get rid of the allergens. You can do this once or twice a day. It has really helped my husband's allergies. You can get one at your drug store for $15, and it's dishwasher safe.

ummm...it doesn't sound like allergies it sounds like a cold!

Take some TheraFlu (whichever one fits your symptoms) that stuff is kick butt! I like the powder one better but it tastes like caca!

Chronic allergies may require allergy shots. I took them for a few years, but they never worked for me. I don't think Zyrtec works very well. I use prescription nasal spray (Nasonex) which works better than almost anything.

ask your Dr about the shots they might help you a lot more and can you change your environment? Do you know what you have allergies to? I wish I could help more.

You don't, though there are things you can do to lessen the symptoms.

Find out what you're allergic to and get it out of your environment. Take out your carpets and wash your curtains regularly in a hypo-allergenic soap. Dust frequently with a damp cloth. Make sure the filters to your furnace and AC are clean.

And see an allergist, since OTC medicines aren't doing it for you.

Good luck.

Sudafed. The real stuff that you get from behind the counter, not the PE. That always works for me, so I say you at least try it to find out.
If you can get a prescription, Allegra is the best allergy medicine in the world in my opinion. Clears ya up without getting all drowsy or medicine-heady.

If you want to get rid of allergies or make them better for years to come, you want to build up more of an immunity to them each year. You do that by taking medicine as few times as possible. The more you take medicine, the less your body is able to fight the allergies itself. When not taking medicine your body keeps working at trying to fight it and keeps getting stronger.
And your body will actually become immune or used to the medicines and they will not work as well eventually.

Take a teaspoon of LOCAL honey each day and it will work with your body to develop immunities to all air born irritants around you-like pollen, dust, mold, pet dander, smog, etc. It also helps combat cold and flu. Like all herbal remedies, it will take a while to become effective but it has no side effects and will work for you if you give it a month or so.

try allegra and singular. talk to an allergiest and find out what causing your allergies so u can try to avoid them. Try allergy shots.
