My friend has been sick in the icu with Double nimonia for about 3 weeks ok.?!

Question: They just pulled her tube out of her throat. I cant recall why they had a tube in her throat. Mabye to breethe or to clean that crap out of her lungs. Well now she can talk and stuff. She is still in the ICU yet. Her bf is going to see her in the hospital on sat. Well she wants to come home already. Do u think that the ICU will let her go home so soon already? Will they sign her out to go home?If they refuse to sign her out and she signs her self out can she do that?

I told her bf not to let her sign herslf out. Cause i know she will end up right back in there again. I am going to go talk to him again and im not sure what i should tell him. What other info do u think i should tell him. Cause i am positive that she will come home on sat. And i dont think thats a good idea.

If your friend is in ICU she won't be signing herself out anytime soon, after you are let out of ICU you go to a main floor for more follow up.

sometimes hospitals are full of germs and double pneumonia is a very very bad cold and if she takes really good care and has someone at home to help her it might be best but usually you are stepped down from ICU to a regular hospital room before you can be discharged

Your friend really needs to stay in the hospital and go into step down status (as mentioned above). Right now, her immune system is compromised and susceptible to either a recurrence of the pneumonia or other infection/illness. The hospital will do its best to convince your friend to stay, however, as long as she is deemed mentally competent, they cannot keep her against her will. She can sign herself out, but it will be considered "against medical advice" and required to sign paperwork stating this. Good luck.

Leave her in ICU and let them (Doctor's, Nurse's .....) decide.
