Question: I've been getting cold sores since I was a kid. I know that once the virus is there, there is no cure. But where does it start? How did I get it?

You got it from another person at some point. In theory, you could even have gotten it from your mother at the time of birth (unlikely!). Herpes is a human virus that needs moisture to survive. You could have gotten it from sharing a glass with someone. They did not need to have an obvious cold sore to be contagious.
I really don't kno i have the same thing too... I heard that if you get it once the virus is stuck in your boby and will always return. I don't kno?!?!?
