I'd say B we have a dog and my parents work but we come in during the day at different times so hes not left alone all dayy he gets lonely even though he plays with the cat runs in the garden and all sorts he likes to chew the door matt.

B. Prolinged absence can give dogs separation anxiety and cause them to develop bad behavours. One of which would include shredding things, chewing in general having a "temper tantrum".. Locking the animal up and removing items that can be destroyed can help. Obedience school could be a more drastic option. This usually works very effectively however.. I am not an advocate of keeping animals in a "crate" all day.. but as long as the animal isn't confined for more than 4 to 6 hours and is walked prior to confinement that may be an option. Bottom line would be.. "be a responsible pet owner"
