Hospital Volunteering?!
Question: What are all of the possible ways that a 13 year old can get invloved with a children's hospital? My family owns a registered theraputic dog, and I have been diabetic since last March-29, so maybe I would be allowed to help answer any newly diagnosed diabetics questions. Since I was hospitalized with diabetes last year I have felt a real calling to work in a Children's Hospital, and I know that the local one allows freshman highschoolers to velunteer, but until then, what can I do? (with or without my parents).

Request a meeting with the volunteer department at the childrens hospital, tell them what you said here. Maybe they will let you bring the dog in or help a newly diagnosed child diabetic with their diet. Goodluck.
