- stopping dengue means killing the virus.killing the virus means killing the mosquito who carries them.
- there's no cure actually for dengue.we just wait for the virus to be killed inside the body, and this usually happens when they ate all our platelets up.The only thing we must be concern about dengue is the complication that it can bring...such as bleeding (when they have eaten all the platelets up)...they make our blood highly concentrated with cells coz they make our capillaries leak...and in order to prevent this from happening, patients with dengue needs to be well-hydrated and being well hydrated means that fluids should be given continuously and there's no other way to do that than to give it intravenously (or thru the veins) and there's no place to do that other than the hospital.
-the symptoms of dengue is just like having an ordinary flu.and in order to diffrentiate that from a flu, you have to undergo blood test (CBC), ordinary flu does not cause your platelet count to be low.
-there are 4 serotypes of dengue...and it means that in a lifetime you have a chance of having dengue 4x...once u'v been infected with 1 serotype you are immuned from it but still there are other 3 more serotypes...
-rashes of dengue are minute, pinpoint, pinkish to purplish that do not blanch when pressed under a clear glass.one disease that produce this rash are meningococcemia and you can differentiate the 2 disease by other symptoms they present...

There are several different kinds of dengue, just like with malaria, and I strongly urge you to seek medical help immediately for a blood test to confirm the strain of the virus. In a small number of cases dengue can be fatal if left untreated.
