I can understand your nervousness with being out cold with strangers working on your body, but there isnt really anything about the experience of anesthesia itself that you should worry about. You will just suddenly feel very tired and maybe a little woozy, and then you will wake up in a recovery room after the surgery is over with no memory of what happened.
I personally love the feeling. You go into the operating room and sometimes they ask you to count and after like 3 seconds your just out and the next thing you know, your waking up in recovery. There's nothing weird feeling about it. Your awake one second and out the next.
i had surgery like a month ago and anesthesia is weird. i dont remember them even puttin the mask on me. i dont remember anything. all i remember is being in a bed then i woke up in another bed with no recollection of what happen during the surgery. it was trippy
Calm down.... you will not feel anything.
once they are preparing you, the doc will ask you a cpl of questions then they will put you the mask....seconds and u r asleep.

Honestly you won't even remember it when you wake up. I've had surgery requiring anesthesia a couple times and all i remember is laying on the table and putting the mask on. I don't even remember being sleepy or anything. If its a short surgery (less than 2 hours) you'll wake up like you just woke up from a nap, but if its longer you might wake up a little loopy. i've been under 3 times. its basically like falling asleep really quick. once i'm under i must dream or something. 2 of the 3 times people in the waiting room could hear me laughing. when you come out of it, you'll be in a different room, that can kinda freak you out some & you may be tired for a while. i personally enjoy the after effects, everything looked sooo cool to me. really though dont be scared.
it actually feels really good. they put the mask on and then u feel lightheaded and it feels like ur floating. the you fall into a dreamless sleep and it feels awesome.
u have nothing to worry about just go on with it.

Sometimes they put the anesthesia threw the mask or your I.V. mine was threw the I.V. twice and its like one second your awake, and the next your out! Then you wake up, and you have no idea of what happened. You will be fine..
Surgery ain't nothing. It's after.
