I need a cigerette?!

Question: i am 28 years old and i started smoking last june-07 but then about 6 months later i quit because i did nit want to smoke anymore. it was so easy and i did not understand what the fuss was about smoking. then 3 weeks later i developed larengitus and i could not talk for 3 days and i blame it on smoking. i was really happy that i quit at that point. 2 months later i picked up the habit again i dont know why but i like smokin the second time around. but i was feeling guilty and i told myself i could only have a cigerette when i really needed it. but in this winter weather i got phemonia the docter said he heard cracklin noises in my lungs and i should use a pump and i got some cough medicine because i was coughing alot. anyway im fine now but was the phemonia because i was smokin or was it just a bad cold making my lungs sound like that. can cigerettes be so deadly after just 9 months of using it.

I'm wheezing and my lungs make crackling noises because I smoked. Even though I did not inhale, my lungs are badly damaged from smoking cigarettes.

And I didn't even have pneumonia :(

Don't pick up a cigarette again, unless you want to suffer and shorten your life. It's really miserable when you can't do what you want to do to enjoy yourself :((

".."

sounds like its because of the bad cold... but i never herd of a cold making cracking noises in your lungs... thats something ive never herd of... try to ask him about that.. no one here in yahoo answers is a doctor to let you know 100%...

The wheezing and crackling was caused by the pneumonia and the congestion in your bronchial tubes making it difficult to inhale and exhale. Smoking would be an irritant to the condition and would be painful for you if the pneumonia was severe. If its been easy for you to quit, then you should seriously give them up. Pneumonia leaves a scarring in the lungs that never goes away and which means you will be more susceptible to other respiratory diseases that smokers have more difficulty recovering from. Smoking just makes respiratory conditions worse and can contribute to contracting the diseases. Give them up while you can and before you develop a more serious disease such as emphysema or COPD.

some people are just more sensitive to the effects of nicotine!!

quit now and never pick up another one!!

Cigarettes are blamed for every illness known including hang nails. Mostly they don't cause the diseases, but do make them much worse!

Please, quit and never pick up another one!!
