Question: What causes these horrible electric shock like noises/pains in my head/brain?
I'm not on any kind of medication and have not had any for years,I don't do illegal drugs and only have a alcoholic drink once a week,like everyone does in england (before you start).
It is usually when i'm sat still,it comes on really strong and makes me lose my barings.
I suffer from S.A.D (where you do not want to do anything ever) but i do not use meds,i just blag my way through it...thats my only other problem.

I can appreciate your situation; that is exactly what happens to me when I try to stop taking Paxil (which I was started on without being told that I might have problems NOT taking it afterward). Even at the low dose I'm on, if I miss more than two I start the same symptoms you describe and they get so bad that I was given a brain scan and treated for impending stroke before I followed up from the ER with my own family doc who immediately knew what was wrong. SO if you haven't been on Paxil (or some other SSRI) and have this sort of problem, you need to be seen by a neurologist. There are several neuro issues which could cause the problems and whichever one it may be, it needs to be identified.
