It's recorded that baboons blood can cure AIDS... But the government don't want to go that route because it's inhumane to the animals which I do agree to that.

Baboons don't get aids...

To many theories out there like aids came from monkeys in Africa...

Edit Part: Just read an article about Baboons and Aids. I was wrong... Baboons can get HIV...

Edit Part again: This article says different:

Whybaboon cells?

For some reason (scientists do not know why), baboons don't get AIDS. Doctors hope that the baboon bone marrow cells will bind with Getty's bone marrow cells and produce white blood cells that will attack the AIDS nrus. Otherwise, Gettywill die.

It will take several months, however, before doctors know whether the experiment worked. If it does--if Getty's body does a better job of fighting off infection-it will be a major breakthrough in the 15-year battle against a killer disease.

Dogs cant get aids. Its a virus thats specific to humans only. I think they're using this information to find a cure because there must be something in a dog or cats immune system that we as humans lack other than a difference in chromosome number.
