Can Children Services Take Your Child Away when you are in chronic pain?!

Question: I have chronic pain due to my illness and the fact that I had surgery 3 1/2 months ago. This is quite embarrassing for me to mention, but I have benefits temporarily through Job and Family Services, until I can get on Social Security during my recovery period. I had brain surgery. They ask me questions every month as to my health and why I am still not able to work. I have to answer her and tell her the truth, unfortunately I tell the truth. I told her that I am still in pain and it could be partially recovery and the fact that the doctor said it was one or two more things going on. I told her that he was testing me for MS and all I know is that i want to get better. I do have another family member in the household, so I hope that helps. Thank you in advance.

No, Child services cannot legally take your child away from you if you are in chronic pain. They cannot take your child away as long as you can take care of him or her. And especially if there is another adult or older teenager who can pick up the slack there should be no problem.
If child services do attempt to remove your child from your custody report it immediately and get a lawyer. There are support groups who can aid you legally pro-bono.
I hope you get well soon.

no you are trying your best and if they try their is plenty of lawyers that would happily go after them

Only if your condition or the treatment of it causes you to neglect your children or endanger them in some way.
