Incapacity Benifit problems including tribunal disappointment.?!

Question: Have you or a partner recently had a long-term incapacity benifit stopped, taken the decision to tribunal and still told you are fit to work by the tribunal people eventhough you are in so much pain, working is not an option? This has happened to my parner, she has not been diagnosed ie given a name for the condition she suffers however, doctors have given her sickness notes for a long time whilst they do blood test DXA scans and now sending her to physio, the doctors can see something is wrong but the small group of tribunal people dismiss her claim which incidently has only come about since the government has decided to have a cut back on people claiming such benifit long term. She cannot work either in her home life nor a place of work and is being forcefully persuaded to work that will make her without doubt suffer morethan she already is. Her complaint is skeletor pain that radiates throughout her complete body and has now been compounded by bone thining through osteopenia.

We will see a lot more of this now (forcing truly sick people to look for work) that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are costing billions more than was budgeted for, this is why people on IB have been targeted, because the majority ARE sick, but can't fight back. There will be more stories in the press about the odd one they catch working on the side so they can demonise ALL claimants.

blame all the spongers who ruined it for people who really need it.

Not happened to anyone I know, but could be happening to my ex-husband in May. The Government say if he can sit, you can work. He is going to go along the route of the pain killers which he HAS to take cause him to be unable to concentrate for long periods of time.

I'm sorry and hope your wife finds appropriate medical care she needs and perhaps a diagnosis for this condition soon. Perhaps you can appeal another time. The CAB can be helpful.
