I've got painful bumps on my inner thighs...how do i get rid of them??!

Question: I regularly get these extremely painful bumps on my inner thighs. They usually last about a day or two then they go away. It's probably attributed to my thighs rubbing together when I walk (I'm pleasingly plump :-)). Anyway, moisture usually makes them worse so I use powder to keep them dry. I've recently switched to boxer briefs so that there's a buffer between my thighs and my pants (which usually rubs them raw when i walk). Is there anything else I can do to prevent these bumps from coming back? (No it's not herpes or anything like that...I'm just a "bit" overweight so my pants literally rub my inner thighs raw or until these huge bumps appear which are VERY painful). Any thoughts?

Hon, they might be ingrown hairs.
Check with your doctor...seriously.
You also might want to try Gold Bond Medicated Powder.
Back when I was in the military we ALL used to get some sort of what we called diaper rash.
It was from sweating with no ventilation.
The Gold Bond Powder really helped.

Lose weight?

walk bow legged!

Sounds like you are already doing everything you can. The only thing I could think of is to start a program at a gym to firm up your body. If you can firm up your thighs, preventing them from rubbing together you could avoid the painful chafing that is occurring. Working out can only be beneficial. You could also start swimming if you don't like to work out. Good luck!

Try losing some weight.
Or go and see the doctor see what they say

I googled it putting powder on it was exciellent idea but you have to go to the doctors for an antibiotic(pills) and ointment. But when you use ointment don't put powder on it.
go to steady health.com (That's where I found it when I googled first)
Horpe you get better. I'll add you to my contacts. BYE:)

Put something like Zincofax (diaper cream!) on your thighs, a thin layer and it will provide a barrier. Vaseline should work too.

Probably the medicated powder would work best too and healing and drying the area. Bathe often too, even if it's twice a day.
