Here are some things she can do assuming it's food poisoning, however we are not doctors and dehydration can lead to electrolyte imbalance, something not to play with, so please do not hesitate to call your physician or take her to the ER immediately if she shows any signs of dehydration.

Self-care
Food poisoning often improves on its own within 48 hours. To help keep yourself more comfortable and prevent dehydration while you recover, try the following:

Let your stomach settle. Stop eating and drinking for a few hours.
Try sucking on ice chips or taking small sips of water. You might also try drinking clear soda, such as 7UP or Sprite, clear broths, or noncaffeinated sports drinks such as Gatorade. Affected adults should try to drink at least eight to 16 glasses of liquid every day, taking small, frequent sips.
Ease back into eating. Gradually begin to eat bland, easy-to-digest foods such as soda crackers, toast, gelatin, bananas and rice. Stop eating if your nausea returns.
Avoid certain foods and substances until you're feeling better. These include dairy products, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and fatty or highly seasoned foods.
Get plenty of rest. The illness and dehydration may have made you weak and tired.
Don't use anti-diarrheal medications. Drugs intended to treat diarrhea, such as loperamide (Imodium) and diphenoxylate with atropine (Lomotil), may slow elimination of bacteria or toxins from your system and can make your condition worse.

a hug :)

Sounds like food poisoning.. Get her some gatorade to keep her hydrated and some chicken soup lots of sodium helps with nausea if she keeps trowing up you need to take her in.. I hope she feels better soon...

13 times means she is definitely going to dehydrate. Get her to the ER !

sound like stomach flu. pepto and a back massage then a hot bath might be nice

Gonna need some Immodium to help stop the diarrhea, and have her drink only clear liquids....like water or sprite. Make sure you follow the directions for Immodium. You can get this at stores such as Wal-Mart, and you can get it's generic form..which should be right next to it..called Loperamide HCL 2 mg. You can also give her some anti nausea medicine (which could be near where the Immodium is located at)....it should be in liquid form.......under anti-nausea medicine...that generic form is promethazine......which may also come in tablets as well. Since she has been vomiting with diarrhea, she'll need to keep drinking as much as she possibly can to keep from dehydrating. If she is still nauseated, then have her suck on ice chips or ice cubes. If she continues to get worse, then you may have to bring her to a doctor. Good luck ......

lucozade

call the Dr and get her in asap they say over 25 people have died with the flu. be safe not sorry, good luck.

Your wife needs to see a doctor and have her stools checked to make sure that its not contaminated. at the same time try giving her calcium tums and no food and liquid intake first...it seems to be a stomach flu and its viral since she is throwing up a lot her stomach cannot function well so no food and liquid intake is recommended that's why she needs and I.V. to rehydrate herself...I will pray for her speedy recovery...
