What Is The Best Home Remedy For Post Nasel Drip?!
Question: I have suffered with this for years, and have terrible Allergys. The Doctor has me Taking Claritin Daily and also using Flonaise, but the Post Nasel Drip causes me to cough alot. Any Suggestions?

I also suffer with year round Allergy's and post nasel drip. I recently did some online research and found out if you mix salt, a pinch of baking Soda, with warm water and put mixture into a nasel Bulb and flush out your Nasel passages a few times a day, it will help with the Drip and coughing alot, and you do not have to invest any money..Its an Easy Home Remedy and it sure helps.
I have this same problem and I cough and also feel that there is always phlegm down my esophogus (if you know what I mean).
Someone suggested a neti pot (you can do a search). I've been using mine for about 3 or 4 days and already have noticed a big difference. I used it twice yesterday and didn't cough much at all and was breathing great.
I didn't have time this morning and now I feel like I have a hairball in my throat. :(
If you aren't familiar with them, you might be kind of grossed out when you start checking them out, but they are great. You don't have to get the expensive ceramic ones either. I just bought one at the drug store (CVS) for about $15.

I do suffer from persistent sinus myself , including congestion and nasal irritation, Claritin and Flonase didn't help much. Nasal Saline helps clear mucus and reduces congestion, irrigates the nasal passages to clear out pollen, dander and can reduce post nasal-drip that irritates the throat causing cough.
Nasal saline solution is sold over the counter in drug stores. Make this at home, ? teaspoon of non-iodized salt with one cup of purified water, bring to room temperature covered.
