you will feel sick you will have a head ache and you will have abdomin pains. you need to drink alot of water and electrolytes.

it will make you sick so drink water.

dehydration affects different people differently, but a few common symptoms are thirst, constipation, dry skin and dry mucous membranes, nose bleeds, and mental confusion.

sometimes dizzy in a way..

BAD headache.

Dry or sticky mouth
Low or no urine output; concentrated urine appears dark yellow
Not producing tears
Sunken eyes
Markedly sunken fontanelles (the soft spot on the top of the head) in an infant
Lethargic or comatose (with severe dehydration)

when i have been dehydrated i've had headaches and have been nasueous.

Symptoms of dehydration usually begin with thirst and progress to more alarming manifestations as the need for water becomes more dire. The initial signs and symptoms of mild dehydration in adults appear when the body has lost about 2% of it's total fluid. These mild dehydration symptoms are often (but not limited to):

Thirst
Loss of appetite
Dry Skin
Skin Flushing
Dark colored urine
Dry mouth / Cotton mouth
Fatigue / Weakness
Chills
Head rushes

If the dehydration is allowed to continue unabated, when the total fluid loss reaches 5% the following effects of dehydration are normally experienced:

Increased heart rate
Increased respiration
Decreased sweating
Decreased urination
Increased body temperature
Extreme fatigue
Muscle cramps
Headaches
Nausea
Tingling of the limbs

When the body reaches 10% fluid loss emergency help is needed IMMEDIATELY! 10% fluid loss and above is often fatal! Symptoms of severe dehydration include:

Muscle spasms
Vomiting
Racing pulse
Shriveled skin
Dim vision
Painful urination
Confusion
Difficulty breathing
Seizures
Chest and Abdominal pain
Unconciousness

You may become disoriented, tired and weak. You may have some dizzy spells and/or lightheaded especially when you stand. Your skin won't be very "stretchy"

Usually if you are dehydrated you get sick and throw up and are very sick

if you are dehydrated you will feel pain in your stomache and abs, constipation, cough, chest pain, dizziness and shortness of breathe. you should visit this link for more symptoms:

With moderate dehydration, the first symptom besides a dry mouth usually is noticeable weakness and fatigue. After a while, you might also get a headache, and feel a little woozy. You can recover from these feelings within about 20-30 minutes after drinking water. If you become further dehydrated, You begin to get some symptoms like nausea, muscle cramps, changes in pulse and breathing rates, and chills. When you get to this stage, it takes several hours or more to recover, and you need to replenish electrolytes along with the water. If you get even further dehydrated, you reach the life-threatening symptoms - muscle spasms, vomiting, vision problems, delirium, and feeling like you have a severe flu. Once the vomiting starts, you usually cannot recover without IV fluids because the electrolytes are too far gone for the intestines to absorb water.

Back in the "old days" kids used to play outside all day and only expected in the house for meals and then just before dark. We didn't care how hot it was outside or how much we had to drink so yes many times we got dehydrated.

The first thing mom did was pinch/squeeze the skin on the top of our hands and if the impression of the pinch went right back you were not dehydrated but if the skin stayed in a somewhat pinched position you're dehydrated or on your way. Weakness is the main side affect. Now if you are suffering from heat stroke or sun stroke which sometimes results in dehydration then you are weak, queezy stomach and the thought of food turns your stomach...no appetite...nausea etc...
Lots of water/gatorade and cut out salt out of your diet until you rehydrate. Extreme dehydration straight to the hospital for rehydration.

While we are on the topic. If you have elderly family members they are the worst victims of dehydration, please make sure they are addicted to water. Kids can bounce back real quick but our elderly suffer and sometimes don't recover from it :(

Light headed, tired. Very hot, and of course thirsty.
