Dairy free diet for hives???!

Question: hi ive had very bad hives since 31st jan (first time ever)... also sore joints, swollen lips, face and eyes at different times, the hives are sometimes severe or not too bad but always there, i take alot of anti histimines which have little effect (but some) and tried cutting out gluten and wheat, which also had little impact... im now going to try cutting out dairy, which is a scary thought as im a veggie and live off jacket potatoes, cheese, mayo, milk, yogurts etc.....i was wondering if anyone else had done a dairy free diet for hives? and what can i eat? i will eat eggs if a have to, but not a fan of them.... is pasta on/off the list?..... any advice is appreciated.... and thanks to those who have answered my questions on this horrible subject before!

My son is allergic to dairy (bad eczema flare up and vomitting).

What can you eat: LOTS

Pasta
veggies
crackers
fruit
soy "cheese"
soy "milk"
rice "milk"
rice "cheese"
Sara Lee Whole Wheat Bread (it is dairy free)
soy pudding
soy ice cream
rice ice cream
cereal
oreo cookies!
teddy grahams
graham crackers
beans
potatoes
some mayo is all oil and would be okay.
rice
Blue Bonnet LIGHT Margarine
some canned soup is okay (Must read the labels!)

Sorry my veggie list is so short. My son loves meat, so that really helps.
