Infant possibly contracted e. coli?!

Question: My 11 month old son got ahold of a piece of rabbit waste at someone else's house and it ended up in his mouth. I tried to get as much of it out of his mouth and off his hands as possible, but I know he still ended up ingesting some. How worried do I need to be about him coming down with e. coli? What are some symptoms I need to be looking for? How serious could this get? He's perfectly healthy and right on target for size and everything, so hopefully he'll be able to fight it, but if anybody has any information that could help me, that would be very much appreciated.

Im sure he will be fine. Symptoms to watch for would be diarrhea, fever, lethargy, bloody or slimey stools. But he will be fine, he's just being a boy.

I would not worry about it. Although it seems really nasty you should not worry roo much. A rabbit's feces is actually very rich in vitamins and proteins. Rabbits eat these in order to meet their nutritional requirements. This process allows rabbits to extract the necessary nutrients from their food.

Kids often eat rabbit rasins...Mine did...probably OK Call your dock if youare worried
