For 30 days increase the water temperature to 80 degrees
Withhold all food for 3 days. On 4th day restart food. Make sure you change the food to a gel-based or frozen vegetable goldfish food at this point. Add a couple thawed peas, squeezed gently for easier digestion.
For future reference, you can keep the water at 80 degrees continually. There is a theory that a deep-bodied goldfish have fewer swim bladder issues at this temperature, as the swimbladder muscle functions best at this warmer temperature. Also, make sure that you always feed your goldfish the gel-based or frozen food as the flake food absorbs water & swells creating constipation issues in ornamental goldfish.
