I have a cold sore, how can i get rid of it ASAP??!

I have a cold sore that i just got this morning.. I have tried putting hand sanitizer on it. Dried it up a little bit.. Then i read online if you put rubbing alcohol on it, it didn't work at all. I am also allergic to Abreva. And Herpacin. It makes my face swell up.. My doctor gave me zivorax about a year ago.. It seems to work. But it takes so long for it go away.. And if you know cold sores aren't all that fun. So if someone could just give me a tip that would get rid of it ASAP that would be awesome..

If you have a good dentist or doctor, they can call in a prescription for Valtrex. I get really bad cold sores, and Valtrex seems to be the only thing that works. It will still last a couple days, but it won't turn into that big scab. Abreva and all of that hasn't ever been helpful for me, so I don't relly recommend it.. I also put straight rubbing alcohol on mine. It BURNS, but I think it helps too.
you have to kiss someone and pass on the cold sore.
