Leukemia Info?!
Question: Okay, I was just wondering, whats it like to have leukemia? My friend has it, but she lives a few states away so all we do is email and write, but she never really tells me that much about having leukemia. I dont really blame her, though. So I was just wondering, what's it like to have leukemia? Do you have to go to the hospital alot? If so, how many times? Do you have to have a specail diet? What's it like on a normal day? Or is it the day just the same as a person who doesnt have leukemia? (Not trying to offend anyone who actually has leukemia.) Any other information would be good, thanks! I just would like to learn about it more.

If they are having chemotherapy, you would expect them to be extremely tired ALL the time. Nausea, and vomiting is very
bad, but it will also change their taste buds. Not many things will taste good to them for years. They will be in the hospital quiet often for the next few months. They can be in the hospital for weeks at the time during the treatment phase. The best thing you can do is try to keep their spirits up with laughter.
