In what organ do ulcers form?!

Question: And how do they form? Thanks.

Answers: And how do they form? Thanks.

An ulcer occurs in the stomach. It forms because of acid in the stomach lining that eats away at the stomach leaving the ulcer. Stress, is the most common reason for ulcers. They can be so severe they bleed. You can spit up blood which is very bad. Now a days medications like Zantac & Pepcid AC & others work to keep the ulcer undercontrol & even sometimes they go away. They heal. I know because I had one.

the stomach but i don't know how exactly they form.

Ulcers can form in the stomach (called gastric ulcers) or in the intestine (called duodenal ulcer). The cause is either NSAIDs (non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs), a bacteria called H. pylori, alcohol and tobacco use.

Here is more info on Peptic UIcers (this is the umbrella term for both gastric and duodenal ulcers):

Ulcers can also occur on the skin. This is due to either friction which wears down the skin or infections.
