Wisdom tooth infection after surgery..?!
Question: I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out March 6th and now one side of my jaw is swollen in the jaw area more so than the other side and on the side it is swollen, there is a foul tasting/smelling fluid coming from the site....what is this? It has a slight throbbing pain coming from it too, but it is bareable.
I have an appointment today to have it examined, what is the basic procedure for this type of thing?
I'm freakin out!!

your doctor will examine you and if they think you have an infection/abscess, will probably put you on an antibiotic. don't freak out! continue to take your pain medicine and you'll get your answers soon. good luck
