Symptoms of the Flu?!

Question: Hey, I stayed home from school today because I originally went to bed with a sore throat/cough, woke up with a worse sore throat/cough and a fever. The fever has slowly escalated to a current 102oF. I'm not head achy or nauseous or anything (yet). I know I can't get a professional evaluation on Yahoo answers, but does this look like the start of the flu?
Thanks for yer time.

This could be a common cold or it could be influenza. The influenza usually gives muscle aching and extreme fatigue along with the symptoms you have. You can treat this by taking tylenol or ibuprofen on a regular basis, increase your fluid intake, run a humidifier in the bedroom where you sleep, take an over the counter cough med at night to prevent the cough from disrupting your sleep. Only time will tell. Both the cold and influenza last from 5-10 days before you even begin to feel better.

NO just a cold you would have body aches and vomiting if it was the flu and you would not be on the computer.

COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unless you vomet!

I can see that you are not feeling as well as you should and if you are interested you can try natural remedies that to help feel better soon such as higher doses of vitamin C, raw garlic and green tea. Taking those three things should start making you feel better quite quickly.
