Still, very well could be ringworm. Our cat has taken a year to completely recover. We adventually had to trap all stray cats in our area and disinfect the house (very important). As well, make the kitty indoors only. There is a shampoo called Malaseb (we got ours from the vet, but I believe you can purchase it online also.) It seemed to really make a difference once we got this. It is time consuming. You have to bathe the kitty several times per week and let the shampoo sit on the cat. This of course in conjunction with topical solutions. You have to be very serious about it and use the topical solutions several times per day as directed or it won't work. It takes a while. We also had to one of those collars where the cat can't lick or scratch. Our poor kitty had scratched himself so bad. Clean your home with bleach and use lysol on everything that can't be bleached. Steam clean carpets, etc. Ringworm does flake very badly and is quite gross looking once it advances to that point. There are many remedies, all of which seem to take up to several months. Good luck.

Take it to a vet.
