What could i be sick with?!
Question: i have a sore throat that hurts when i swallow, but its tolerable.
no fever. my muscles did ache in the beginning of the week, but thats gone. my glands are only a LITTLE swollen, and thats all. oh, and im not really that tired.
what could this be? a virus? strep? MONO? the flu????

It sounds viral but without virology which specific virus I couldn't say, therefore I couldn't say if this is flu or mononucleosis. I doubt that it's strep, which is bacterial. For the time being, treat it as a mild case of flu. If all symptoms are not resolved in 14 days, if your current symptoms worsen or if new symptoms appear, see your doctor.
It sounds like herpes to me. They can get in your throat.

Maybe it would be better to have yourself checked at a clinic. This way you will have a diagnostic by a professional doctor instead.

You could have strep or the flu. Mono will make you feel far worse than you already to - to the point you want to die. I know because I've had it before. If you're not any better in the next day see your doctor. If you are running a fever now, see your doctor ASAP. Either way, take Tylenol or Ibuprofin (switch on and off w/each) and drink plenty of fluids.

Sound like tonsilitus but im no doctor
It sounds like it might be strep since you don't have the other symptoms of the flu. Either that, or your body is doing a great job at fighting something worse. I would take a swig of ny-quil before bed tonight and see if that helps. If it doesn't help, it's probably strep. Go to the doctor and get an antibiotic.
