My mother has Staph infection and pneumonia?!

Question: My mom has had a cold for the past week and a half. A few days ago her symptoms got worse, the coughing , the fever, her breathing got heavy. We took her to the ER 2 days ago and they said she had pneumonia and just gave her antibiotics and was released the same day. The next day her breathing and cough got even worse and we took her to the ER again, doctors regreted letting her go the day before because it got worse. On the 2nd visit her they had to help her with oxygen by oxygen mask, later it got worse and they put in a breathing tube. After taking blood samples and xrays they said that she most likely has Staph. They said there is a possibility she will not survive this but it is too early to tell. Has anyone had a similar situation? Can you help me out? Try to understand this. I hate to see my mom like this and I'm scared. I have faith in her. Shes a strong woman so i know she can fight this. Thank you

The staph "Staphylococcus Aurie's" more then likely took hold and overpowered your moms immune system, this is what happens.
Staph is a very dangerous virus associated with MRSA, the "flesh eating" virus.
It, the staph, lives in our nasal membranes and throat, when and if our system breaks down, it multiplies faster then it can be controlled. Once in the blood system it starts migrating to the brain and heart, other internal organs and literally turns them into Swiss cheese with infection. One good thing about it, it takes weeks, months, even as long as a year, to take hold and overpower the body.
The hospital, now that she's in there are more then likely aware of it and have been giving her the anti-biotics she needs the fend the infection off.

I'm sure she will be O.K. but weak and, take days and even weeks to recuperate.

IMO, you did what you could. Goodluck and I hope for the best for you and your family...

your mother had community acquired pneumonia... culture from her blood, sputum or lung aspirate would reveal the likely organism that caused it.... Staph pneumonia are fatal if not treated early and adequately. Staphylococcus is a bacteria..not a virus....MRSA means (Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus) a kind of Staph that is resistant to most antibiotics......if your mother is responding to the treatment being given by her doctors, her well being will improve later on, just be patient...she will make it........ God Bless

Go to this website, pay close attention to the paragraph on MMS for immediate treatment. After she starts getting better, then start on the other products to strenghen her immune system.
