its really hard to say as to which ingredient in your favorite candy is causing you allergy. actually my wife is also prone to this very allergy symptom and she is allergic to milk products. so, she has to stop consuming the foods she is allergic to as there is no treatment to it. similarly, you will have to eliminate this candy from your food list. so sorry to say, but this is how it is. nothing could be done.

or you will have to self-examine all the ingredients of this candy seperately through other foods, and then you will come to know the root ingredient causing you this allergy.

take care

you might be allergic to a chemical or preservative in the candy id find a new candy to love

I found out im allergic to my favourite candy, what now? CRY!!!!!!!!

You'll have to go to an allergy specialist (doctor) to verify, take some starburst candies with you so he can work out your allergy via the ingredients listed on the package.

We can be Allergic to ANYTHING- & Starburst Candy is JUST as good as any- to break into a rash about... Since there are Zillions of Ingredients that goes into them, there's NO telling which one is giving you that Rash... SO, -you can either give them up completely & forego the rash- OR, you can just cut back on them alittle- & deal with the rash on occasion. Take your pick. It's YOUR arms! :)

it could be anything but most likely you have developed a corn allergy. corn syrup to be exact. to rule it out, i'd take an amount half of the size of a starburst and see what happens.

it could also be too much vitamin c- you'd be surprised that if your eating a lot, that might have something to do with it as well.

also follow up with the doctor. corn syrup is in many foods and beverages.

You would have to get tested to find out if its actually the chemicals in Starburst thats giving you a rash.

I recently discovered that I am allergic to PKU which is the artificial sweetener found in a lot of low fat foods. Its a nasty chemical!

It could be a coincidence with the Starburst and rash but if it persists then get some antihystermine tablets (the ones used for hayfever) from the pharmacy - that will help with the rash.

dont eat them.
