yes, it is normal. everyone has different reactions to antiviral chemotherapy. were you drinking enough water? you'd be surprised to find that water will greatly reduce issues relative to treatment side effects.
your hair is falling out because you were on a form of chemotherapy. do not be surprised to find that once the new hair growth comes in, you will lose more of the affected hair.
the other thing is that sometimes hcv itself and / or treatment can cause the thyroid to become diseased. sometimes when the thyroid is not working, it will effect hormones and loss of hair is a side effect of that.
as always, if your worried, ask your doctor, but he/she will probably give you pretty much the same answer. you could also call your toll free number (from the makers of your meds) and ask the nurse there as well.
side effects usually last as long as one has been on treatment. that is why it is important to continue the water and any other medication such as antidepressants.
many misunderstand that if one can "intox" on treatment, one clearly will "detox".
