I have type 1 diabetes and I check my glucose 5-7 times a day. So I am use to it. For a good glucose reading it should range between 90-140. Talk with your doctor to set a goal for your A1C.

100 is the average reading. Anywhere between 80 and 120 is OK.
Between 80 and 120 is the general goal.
